If you have been seeing the infuriating "This content isn't available, try again later" error on YouTube recently, you are certainly not alone. It looks like this widespread issue may be the platform's newest, more aggressive attempt to break ad-blocking extensions.
It initially pained me to write this article. As I jokingly told my colleagues, I felt shame, and I felt I should feel shame. But itβs time I acknowledge the truthβI watch more YouTube Shorts on my TV than on my phone, and I know Iβm not alone.
YouTube CEO Neal Mohan used his annual letter to creators, published Wednesday, to outline an ambitious 2026 vision that embraces AI-powered creative tools while simultaneously pledging to crack down on the low-quality AI content that has come to be known as "slop."
Mohan identified four AI-related areas that YouTube "must get right in 2026." The platform is working on tools that will let creators use AI to generate Shorts featuring their own likenesses and to experiment with music. "Just as the synthesizer, Photoshop and CGI revolutionized sound and visuals, AI will be a boon to the creatives who are ready to lean in," he wrote. Features like autodubbing, he says, will "transform the viewer experience."
But "the rise of AI has raised concerns about low-quality content, aka 'AI slop,'" he wrote. YouTube is building on its existing spam and clickbait detection systems to reduce the spread of such content. He also flagged deepfakes as a particular concern: "It's becoming harder to detect what's real and what's AI-generated." The platform plans to double down on AI labels and introduce tools that let creators protect their likenesses.
YouTubers have been increasingly frustrated with Google's management of the platform, with disinformation welcomed back and an aggressive push for more AI (except where Google doesn't like it). So it's no surprise that creators have been up in arms over the suspicious removal of YouTube's advanced SRV3 caption format. You don't have to worry too much just yetβGoogle says this is only temporary, and it's working on a fix for the underlying bug.
Google added support for this custom subtitle format around 2018, giving creators more customization options than with traditional captions. SRV3 (also known as YTT or YouTube Timed Text) allows for custom colors, transparency, animations, fonts, and precise positioning in videos. Uploaders using this format can color-code and position captions to help separate multiple speakers, create sing-along animations, or style them to match the video.
Over the last several days, creators who have become accustomed to this level of control have been dismayed to see that YouTube is no longer accepting videos with this Google-created format. Many worried Google had ditched the format entirely, which could be problematic for all those previously uploaded videos.
Crypto pundit XRP Queen has described an XRP price target of $10 as being too low, claiming that this target was from a retail investorβs perspective. She also suggested how high the altcoin could go from an institutional standpoint.Β
Pundit Claims XRP Price Target Of $10 Is Too Low
In an X post, XRP Queen stated that people predicting XRP price targets of between $10 and $25 are still thinking of retail price targets. This came as she claimed that Ripple has been thinking about global infrastructures. The pundit highlighted the firmβs moves, including its acquisition of payment and custody infrastructure.Β
Furthermore, XRP Queen noted that Ripple has integrated with banks, funds, and institutions, which she claimed is positioning the altcoin for real-time global settlement. The pundit also believes that the crypto firm has secured regulatory clarity where it actually matters, which is bullish for the XRP price. Lastly, she mentioned that Ripple is actively pursuing a full banking license, having secured conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).Β
XRP Queen declared that Rippleβs moves are how one builds financial plumbing. βSystems donβt move in pennies. They move in orders of magnitude. Lock in,β she added. Regarding how high the XRP price could rise based on institutional targets, XRP Queen suggested the altcoin could reach $100.Β
In an X post, she stated that people laugh at an XRP price target of $100 because they price it like a meme, but that institutions price the altcoin like infrastructure. As such, she believes the altcoin could reach these price targets based on its utility, especially as it gains traction as a token for real-time global settlement.Β
Canary Capital CEO Makes Bullish Case For XRP
In a YouTube video, crypto pundit Cheeky Crypto highlighted a statement from Canary Capitalβs CEO, Steven McClurg, in which he said that an XRP price target of between $5 and $10 may sound like a lot to a retail trader. However, he believes that these price targets are a rounding error when one considers the trillions of dollars in liquidity required to settle global real-world assets (RWAs) at scale.Β
Cheeky Crypto also highlighted McClurgβs statement, in which he said the XRP Ledger is already processing real financial transactions and boasts real-world financial use cases, which he claims are drawing institutionsβ attention.Β
Notably, the Canary Capital CEO had recently predicted that XRP would dominate the RWA industry, which is projected to become a trillion-dollar industry at some point. This could boost the altcoinβs utility as the XRP Ledger processes more RWA transactions, sending the XRP price higher in the process.Β Β
At the time of writing, the XRP price is trading at around $1.95, down in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap.
YouTube now lets parents cap Shorts scrolling on supervised teen accounts, and itβs working on a zero setting that can shut the feed off. Itβs a tighter, more targeted control than generic screen time.
