About Sharjah Shake

Sharjah Shake is a thick, creamy milkshake made with frozen milk, banana, nuts and any malt powder. Sharjah shake is a famous shake inspired from Southern State Kerala, India. It is known for its thick texture and simple ingredients.

Mostly frozen milk is used which gives that creamy body. Banana, cashews and boost makes it more filling and tasty. It does not need many ingredients also. There are many variations to this shake but this version I have shared is the classic one served in many shops in Kerala.

The texture of this shake is very thick and rich. It is not like regular milkshake you sip easily. Cashews add mild nuttiness and malt powder gives that chocolatey taste. Every sip feels so delicious that you want to have more. It is simple and does not need much preparation.

There are few variations of this shake. Some people add dates instead of sugar. Few add ice cream to make it little richer. You can just make small changes and it will slightly change the taste and texture. You can adjust it fully based on what you like. This shake is also good option for serving guests, most of them will enjoy it for sure.

I usually make this in mid noon or evening when everyone wants something cold. Kids enjoy it a lot and it keeps them full for long time.  I usually make this when I want something cold and heavy. It tastes sweet, smooth and very comforting.

Vanilla Milkshake Recipe

22 October 2025 at 19:42

Vanilla Milkshake is a classic creamy beverage made with just few ingredients in hand including vanilla ice cream, milk, vanilla and sugar. Vanilla Milkshake is one of the popular shakes loved by all. It is rich, has a velvety smooth texture and the most demanding milkshakes in restaurants.

vanilla milkshake served in a tall glass

Vanilla Milkshake is great after a meal or even along with a midday snack. Nothing beats a chilled, smooth creamy milkshake after a long day and this vanilla milkshake is just perfect. Do try and enjoy the cafe style vanilla milkshake at home with easily available ingredients at home.

[feast_advanced_jump_to]

About Vanilla Milkshake

Vanilla Milkshake is so easy and quick to make. Just blend the ingredients together to get a creamy shake but the proportions are really important to get the perfect tasting milkshake just like in cafe or restaurant. The subtle sweetness, creamy texture and mild vanilla flavor makes this shake refreshing and tastes delicious.

Vanilla Milkshake is just made with 4 basic ingredients which includes cold milk, vanilla ice cream, sugar and vanilla essence. Indian style Vanilla Milkshake is just perfect for get together or kids parties. Ice cream is added to make the shake rich and more creamy, alternatively you can add frozen milk too.

This Vanilla milkshake has a pleasantly rich sweet taste as it combines ice cream and milk. Vanilla is the basic flavor, it is one of the popular among other flavors too. So it is obvious that Vanilla Milkshake though simple gains much attention and popularity among other shakes.

This can be just had with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream. As we are adding ice cream while blending the shake, I prefer whipped cream topping along with sprinkles looks and feels tempting.

Vanilla Milkshake - 2 ways

  • Vanilla Milkshake with icecream - This is a classic combination of just blending chilled milk along with sugar , vanilla icecream and vanilla essence.
  • Vanilla Milkshake without icecream - This is slightly a low fat version replacing icecream. Freeze 2 cups of milk overnight until fully frozen then add it along with milk, vanilla essence a little more of sugar and blend until thick and creamy.

Vanilla Milkshake Ingredients

  • Milk - Use full fat milk especially for milkshakes to get creamy smooth shake just as in restaurants. Boil cool down then chill the milk.
  • Ice cream - I have used vanilla icecream here. If you do not want to use icecream then freeze 2 cups milk and add it while blending replacing icecream.
  • Vanilla extract - Though we use vanilla ice cream I use a dash of vanilla extract or essence to get the punch. I have used homemade vanilla extract. But if you don't have vanilla essence then just skip it and use just vanilla ice cream.
  • Sugar - Though sugar is optional I love to add it to lift the sweetness.

Adding a pinch of cardamom powder and saffron strands is my personal liking as it gives a nice refreshing taste to the mango shake .

What are the Weed Shakes? All you Need to Know!

17 January 2023 at 05:19

weed shakes

Consuming marijuana does give pleasure, but there are some side effects you might be unaware of, including involuntarily shaking and tremors. While weed smokers enjoy joints, their body sometimes shakes due to excessive amount of weed shake.

Other side effects of cannabis shakes, like cotton mouth, is less harmful than weed shakes. Although some people consider the tremors funny, they might be dangerous if left unnoticed.

This article will guide you about body shaking when you smoke weed and how to stop the tremors.

What are the ‘Weed Shakes’?

Tremors caused by marijuana by any consumption method are known as weed shakes. You might not feel the weed shakes while smoking regular weed. However, once you increase the weed dosage, you will start feeling cold, and your muscles will spasm.

The cannabis plant contains Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which makes you feel high. When you consume an excessive amount of weed, or the weed shake is of high quality, your body will start trembling.

You might also feel cold and anxious during the shake because of the overwhelming reaction of THC to your nervous system. Although this condition looks frightening, it’s nothing close to the shakes caused by consuming alcohol. That means you can easily prevent the tremors caused by cannabis.

You already know that cannabis is safe for adults. Even if your cannabis intake is high, there’s no severe health risk. Just like the increased heart rate and nausea come and go, the spasms will stay for a few minutes and then leave you to be normal.

Why Do Some People Experience Involuntary Shakes and Tremors After Using Weed?

A high amount of cannabis induces tremors and muscle spasms in the consumer’s body. Here are the other reasons behind the shakes.

Cold

If you are in a cold room and have joints, you might get severe spasms due to low temperature. The blood flow becomes slower when the temperature drops, so you might get more tremors after smoking weed.

High THC

A higher amount of THC leads to severe shakes while consuming weed. The euphoric effect might temporarily inhibit your nervous system and cause you to shake your muscles uncontrollably.

Anxiety

Some weed smokers experience anxiety and nervousness, which leads to muscle spasms. In that case, you must gather and control your thoughts to stop the tremors from controlling your body.

Overdose

Over-dosage of cannabis is a common reason for weed shakes, especially in beginners.

Low Sugar Level

If your blood sugar is low, the answer to “is weed good?” is “No” because it might lead to severe health conditions.

What Can be Done to Stop Weed Shakes?

Here are the things you must do to prevent stop weed shakes.

Take Deep Breaths

Since weed shakes are caused when your nervous system is compromised, you must take deep breaths to neutralize the effect of cannabis. No matter where you are, take a seat or stand up and slowly take deep breaths to get the muscles under control.

Change Your Environment

Experts recommend changing the environment to help get rid of the body shakes due to the high intake of cannabis. For example, go to the balcony if you take joints in a closed room.

You can also go under the open sky to refresh your body and mind and prevent tremors from taking over your body.

Stay Warm

Go in direct sunlight if you are feeling cold and shaky after consuming cannabis to neutralize the effect of marijuana.

Limit Your Dosage

Always measure the shake weed’s dosage before consuming it because you never know how much psychoactive compound active is present in the pre-rolls.

Add CBD Products

CBD is the best product to neutralize the euphoric effect of shake weed. So, if you have bought top-shelf buds or small nugs, don’t forget to buy CBD products with them.

How Long Do Weed Shakes Last?

Shakes caused by smoking weed don’t last long. You’ll notice that within 30-40 minutes of smoking, the cannabis shakes will start to fade. In addition, some people may experience “greening out” after smoking weed, especially if it is their first time.

Greening out is when a person feels sick and shaky after smoking. Apart from weed shakes, you could also experience nausea or sweating. But what exactly causes weed shakes?

Weed shakes occur when your nervous system is overstimulated after smoking marijuana. If you smoke way more than you’re used to, you may experience shaking.

You may feel your muscles twitching and a shaking sensation throughout your body. The best thing to do during this time is to breathe deeply and relax. You could also try lying down or getting some fresh air.

Listen to some of your favorite music and try zoning out. After a few minutes, the shakes should go away on their own.

weed shaker

Uncontrollable Shaking After Eating Edibles

If your edibles have kicked in and you’re shaking uncontrollably, chances are that you’re facing a THC overdose. This is usually a slight overdose and nothing to worry about. However, it can feel uncomfortable and cause you to experience shaking.

Another reason you may be experiencing shaking after consuming edibles because you may be cold. Consuming THC can cause your body temperature to drop. This makes you shake and shiver without even noticing that you’re cold.

Wrap yourself up in blankets and focus on breathing if you experience shaking after consuming edibles. You could also be shaking after consuming edibles because you took a much larger dose than your body used to.

But don’t worry! Even though you may feel sick, it won’t last too long. A good way to deal with edible shakes is to wait it out. In the meantime, you can try distracting yourself with food, music, or laying down.

How Long Do Edible Shakes Last?

Unfortunately, edible shakes last longer than smoking shakes do. Edible-induced cannabis shakes can last up to 2-3 hours. You may feel panicked or even freak out during this time.

If you have a friend around, let them know that you are experiencing cannabis shakes. A good way to distract yourself from the shakes is by moving your body. For example, take a walk in the fresh air and consume no more cannabis during this time.

After a while, your edible shakes should fade away!

Wrapping Up with the Weed Shakes

The simple answer to the question, of what is weed shakes, is that it’s a condition. A condition that makes your muscles spasm for some time after consuming marijuana.

That happens when you increase the dosage of cannabis to the usual dose. So, follow the above tips to prevent tremors and enjoy every joint fully.

How to make Red Wine at home |Easy Red Wine at Home

How to make Red Wine at home |Easy Red Wine at Home

Red wine has most of the health benefits, like it is good for the skin, prevents from aging, consumption in moderation reduce risk of type 2 diabetes in women. Also it has many antioxidants.

Wine making is a very easy process where in yeast gets combined with grape juice and sugar and converts sugar into alcohol. While it is fun to make wine at home, please make sure that you consume it in moderation at your risk. Consumption of wine in moderation is good due to its health benefits like it prevents aging, glows the skin, and controls diabetes upto some extent. Of course this is not me talking but did some research and noted it down .

Before making any wine, we should always make sure that everything like containers, bottles, spatulas are well sterilised. Sterilisation can be made by pouring hot boiling water into the jars and bottles and keeping for 10-15 minutes and then pouring it out. Also, before making wine, make sure that the bottles, containers and properly dried up. Never use metal containers to store wine. Use either glass or plastic. Also, the spatula used to mix should be wooden.

Enough of the talks , now lets get down to see the ingredients and the process of making wine.

Preparation Time including fermentation time: 1 month Aprox

Quantity :4-5 litres

Ingredients :

2 Kg good quality black grapes

750 Grams sugar

50 Grams wheat

50 Grams Rice

150 Ml beetroot juice

5 Grams( 1 Teaspoon) Yeast

3-4 Green Cardamoms

1 Stick Cinnamon

4-5 Cloves

2 Litres Water

Method:

First sterilise 4 litre airtight container where we will keep our wine for fermentation. Note that this container cannot be of metal. Use either glass or plastic with airtight cover. For sterilisation, wash the container with plain water first , then add hot boiling water upto rim , close the container and keep for 10-15 minutes. After 15 minutes throw away water, wipe it properly , keep under the fan so that there isn’t a drop of moisture inside.

Separate out grapes from stems and wash thoroughly 2-3 times with clean water. Wash beetroot the same way.

Keep them immersed in warm water with little salt in it. Keep for around 20 minutes.

Drain them and keep them drying under fan . Place some newspaper or cotton cloth underneath and spread over it. Remove out bad grapes(soft and soggy ones).

Boil the water and switch off the heat. Add sugar ( keep around a teaspoon for activating the yeast ). Keep stirring till sugar gets dissolved .

Prepare beetroot juice . First peel them , grate them and add in hot boiling water(around 200ml). Switch off the heat and allow to settle for 10-15 minutes. Then strain the juice.

Allow sugar syrup and beetroot juice to cool down completely.

Keep yeast to activate. Take around 50 ml warm water,  sugar( we had kept around a spoon aside) and 5 grams yeast. Mix and keep for 5-10 minutes. The yeast will bubble up .

Once all the grapes are completely dry, take them in a big pot and crush them using hands or any crusher. Don’t grind in the mixer. This generates heat.

Add crushed grapes in sterilised container along with beetroot juice, wheat, rice , Sugar syrup ,spices and activated yeast.

Stir everything really well , close the container tightly. If you have airlock container, then press airlock knob like I have done or else, tie a towel or some thick cloth on the lid making Sure our container is fully sealed. Keep in some cool and dark place.

Now every alternate days, this container has to be opened and the juice has to be mixed well with a dry wooden spatula(don’t use metal spatula). Don’t worry if you see the mixture bubbling up. It means the fermentation is under process.

The bubbling will stop after a few days . Till then keep mixing every alternate days and keep the container airtight after each stir.

The wine gets formed after around 20-25 days.

Now take a clean muslin cloth and strain the wine in a plastic or glass container . The containers should be dry and airtight.

Throw away the waste(remains of grapes etc). Seal this container using some cloth or plastic wrap, tightly close the lid and keep for more 20 days.

After 20 days, strain again with muslin cloth in a sterilised Bowl and using a funnel fill the bottles. Enjoy.. Tastes better if chilled..
