Seattle startup Gradial raises $35M to boost agentic tools that automate enterprise marketing

Seattle startup Gradial raised a $35 million Series B round to expand its AI platform that automates the behind-the-scenes work of enterprise marketing. VMG Partners led the round, with participation from existing backers Madrona and Pruven Capital.

It’s the second round of funding this year for Gradial, which raised $13 million in May. Total funding is $55 million. The company is valued at $350 million.

Gradial is targeting what it calls the “content supply chain” — the workflows that move marketing content to live campaigns. Its AI “agents” plug into existing systems to handle tasks such as CMS authoring, brand redesigns, QA, and large-scale campaign operations.

“Every enterprise marketing team faces the same challenge. Their current tools and processes are too fragmented for them to move at the speed they need,” co-founder and CEO Doug Tallmadge said in a statement. “Gradial agents live inside the workflow and learn to do the work just like a human employee would.

Customers include AWS, Prudential, and T-Mobile. Gradial was featured during AWS CEO Matt Garman’s keynote presentation this week at AWS re:Invent.

Gradial sits in a fast-growing category of “agentic” AI tools that go beyond content generation to orchestrate complex workflows in real time.

“Gradial’s agents don’t just assist; they perceive, decide, and coordinate in the flow of real work,” Madrona wrote in a blog post. “They represent a new class of reasoning machines that work alongside humans to manage complexity, turn feedback into foresight, and compound improvement over time.”

Tallmadge previously worked at SpaceX as a software engineering manager. Other co-founders include chief growth officer Anish Chadalavada, a former AI strategy manager at Microsoft and investor at Point72 Ventures; CTO Deip Kumar, who also worked at SpaceX and Microsoft; and COO Anup Chamrajnagar, who worked at Point72. All four co-founders graduated from Dartmouth College.

Gradial raised $5.4 million in a seed round in February 2024. The company employs around 50 people.

I am a former executive at a Global Fortune 500 Company ENGIE and have sold companies to two Global Fortune 500 Companies ENGIE (formerly GDF Suez builders of the Suez Canal) and EDF (electric utility for France) so I know a little about building big infrastructure, legitimate and transparent businesses, relationships and partnerships and companies.

Crypto I admit is a different beast and has seen more “next big things” than any other industry — and most never make it past the presale. They crash because they skip the fundamentals: trust, delivery, and execution. Fake stuff intended to fail at least fail for the investors.

BlockDAG Network has captured massive attention — until now with hype fueled marketing, a very unhappy community, and a vision that, if executed, could actually redefine what’s possible in blockchain architecture. So the spotlight cuts both ways. The question now isn’t whether BlockDAG can generate attention — it’s whether it can deliver.

And the answer is: yes, it still can — if it focuses on the right things.

• Partnership announcements backed by verifiable integrations.

This phase isn’t about hype — it’s about showing that the tech can stand on its own.

4. Deliver Before You Launch

A “seamless launch” in BlockDAG’s case doesn’t mean a smooth website or on-time token drop.

It means miners are delivered, set up, and running before mainnet goes live.

Disrupting focus groups: Seattle AI startup BluePill raises $6M to help brands simulate consumer behavior

BluePill, a new Seattle-based marketing startup that helps brands predict consumer behavior, raised $6 million in a seed round led by Ubiquity Ventures. Seattle-based firms Pioneer Square Labs and Flying Fish Partners also invested.

Founded earlier this year, BluePill helps marketers test ideas, products, and ads in minutes using artificial intelligence instead of traditional focus groups.

BluePill builds a custom AI consumer audience for each brand using real-world data — such as social conversations, surveys, and customer inputs — modeled after a brand’s target segment.

Clients log into the platform, upload a new concept, campaign, or packaging design, and receive instant feedback predicting how their audience would respond — essentially running a massive, simulated focus group.

The company is also developing ready-made, domain-specific AI audiences (like “U.S. moms” or “Gen Z snack buyers”) that brands can directly query for insights without building custom models.

BluePill says its simulated audiences achieve 93% accuracy compared to human panels. The company is working with consumer brands including Magic Spoon, Kettle & Fire, and the Seattle Mariners, which use the platform to test fan engagement ideas and in-stadium activations.

“Our edge is validated, accurate insights — and the fact that we deliver these in minutes for a fraction of the cost makes it a no-brainer,” said BluePill founder and CEO Ankit Dhawan.

BluePill is already generating revenue. It makes money off a fixed annual fee.

BluePill is taking on larger marketing research companies such as Ipsos, Qualtrics, and Nielsen. Dhawan said incumbents “rely on slow, costly human panels, while newer startups mostly have large language models role-play as consumers.”

Dhawan was an entrepreneur-in-residence at the Allen Institute for AI (Ai2) and co-founded virtual experience startup Virtuelly. He also spent more than four years at Amazon as a product leader working on AI products.

Other team members at BluePill include Puneet Bajaj and Andy Zhu. BluePill was featured in GeekWire’s Startup Radar in June.

Sunil Nagaraj, founding partner at Ubiquity, noted that “predicting consumer behavior is the holy grail of marketing.” Nagaraj is based in Silicon Valley but is active in the Seattle startup scene. He was an early investor in Auth0, the Seattle-area startup acquired by Okta for $6.5 billion.

Omada.ai, founded earlier this year by longtime tech entrepreneur Pete Christothoulou, officially launched Tuesday with what it describes as an “AI marketing team” designed to handle the day-to-day digital marketing tasks for small and midsize business owners.

Backed by Crosslink Capital, HubSpot Ventures, and Seattle-based firm Ascend, the startup says its platform can plan, create, and optimize marketing campaigns automatically for less than $9 per day.

Instead of developing a single marketing “copilot” or dashboard, Omada’s approach is a set of coordinated AI agents — a marketing assistant, social media manager, designer, video producer, and more — that collaborate like a virtual team. Users interact through a simple chat interface, and the system handles tasks such as posting content, running ads, responding to customers, and tracking performance.
