In a rare move for a streaming service, Fubo announced today that itβs lowering the prices for some of its subscription plans.
Fubo is a sports-focused vMVPD (virtual multichannel video programming distributor, or a company that enables people to watch traditional TV channels live over the Internet). Disney closed its acquisition of Fubo in October.
The bidding war is over, and Netflix has been declared the winner.

Scrolling through Netflix's vast anime titles can feel like a daunting task, especially if you're like me and not knee-deep in the genre. The streaming service makes it easy to delve into classic and newer episodic series and movies, and you're sure to find something you like.
Not all documentaries are grisly true-crime investigations. And as we head into the holiday season, it's nice to see that Prime Video's library of docs includes a nice selection of fascinating and uplifting titles that will redeem your faith in humanity.
Demogorgons are cool and all, but sometimes the best stories on Netflix aren't the scripted ones. I love delving into a good documentary because they offer glimpses down the rabbit hole of odd and fascinating topic you never knew existed, as well as unprecedented access behind the scenes of some of the world's highest profile people and their lives.
If you rattle around inside Paramount+'s huge library of shows, you'll find a nicely varied selection of big hits from the likes of Taylor Sheridan and other heavy hitters. But I always love it when I find something great that I haven't heard of before.

Amazon Prime Video has scaled back an experiment that created laughable anime dubs with generative AI.
In March, Amazon announced that its streaming service would start including βAI-aided dubbing on licensed movies and series that would not have been dubbed otherwise.β In late November, some AI-generated English and Spanish dubs of anime popped up, including dubs for the Banana Fish series and the movie No Game No Life: Zero. The dubs appear to be part of a beta launch, and users have been able to select βEnglish (AI beta)β or βSpanish (AI beta)β as an audio language option in supported titles.
βAbsolutely disrespectfulβ
Not everyone likes dubbed content. Some people insist on watching movies and shows in their original language to experience the media more authentically, with the passion and talent of the original actors. But you donβt need to be against dubs to see whatβs wrong with the ones Prime Video tested.

Streaming services have a way of reviving love for old shows, and HBO Max is looking to entice old and new fans with this monthβs addition of Mad Men. Instead, viewers have been laughing at the problems with the showβs 4K premiere.
Mad Men ran on the AMC channel for seven seasons from 2007 to 2015. The show had a vintage aesthetic, depicting the 1960s advertising industry in New York City.
Last month, HBO Max announced it would modernize the show by debuting a 4K version. The show originally aired in SD and HD resolutions and had not been previously made available in 4K through other means, such as Blu-ray.
